About the Author
Doug Varrieur had battled weight gain his entire life until he discovered the secrets to losing fat that he reveals in FAT TO SKINNY Fast and Easy! Doug built and sold three successful companies and worked extensively as a business consultant over 27 years. In his 40s, Doug was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and told by doctors he would have to start taking medication. Instead he set out on a quest to discover the cause of his weight problems and a solution that would restore him to health. Inspired by his mother who lost 40 pounds at the age of 71, Doug put all his time and energy into researching a program that would help him lose weight, balance his blood sugar, reverse his insulin resistance and cure his diabetes. Practicing the simple principles Doug later published in Fat To Skinny, he lost more than 100 pounds, went from a size 48 to 32 waist and reversed his diabetes. Doug's wife Sherri also lost 75 pounds of fat, all without special prepackaged foods, surgery, drugs or exercise. Doug wrote Fat To Skinny because he wanted to save lives by helping others to conquer obesity and related diseases.
Today Doug and Sherri continue to enjoy being thin and healthy. They concentrate on living a well-balanced happy life and helping others do the same.
