Is your fridge running? You better go catch it! Lame, yes. But is your fridge bare? Well the next time you run to it for a snack or to cook a meal try stocking it with these items and you won't run out of ideas. Plus, they're all healthy and good for you.
Produce
Keep a variety of fruits and veggies. Your best options are to choose the brightest colors and whatever items are in season. "Taking the time to pre-wash, chop, slice or dice your produce so that it is ready to use when you are ready to cook. Another tip is to wash your herbs and then wrap them in paper towels, then seal them in a Ziploc bag, this will prevent them from wilting," says The Three Kitcheneers. Peeled baby carrots are easy on the go snacks.

Berries
Blueberries in particular are very good for you and are loaded with antioxidants. Sarah W. Caron of Sarah's Cucina Bella recommends you, "You Toss them in smoothies, oatmeal and even baked goods."
Greek Yogurt
Greek yogurts are higher in protein that's why fitness coach Kelli Calabrese recommends you keep this stocked, "People sometimes call Greek yogurt a protein powerhouse since the protein content is concentrated. The ordinary American yogurt has a protein content of 5grams in average while Greek yogurts can reach even up to 20grams! It has a good texture, can be used in cooking, for dips or as a meal. It also has more probiotics."
Salmon
This fish is one of the best sources of omega-3 fatty acids, specifically EPA and DHA. "Benefits include brain health, reduced inflammation, decreased triglycerides, improved joint function, and a reduced risk of cardiovascular events," says Brian Zehetner, Chief Science Officer for Anytime Fitness, dietician, and personal trainer.

Eggs
Spensley recommends eggs since they are a quick and easy single serving of protein for any meal of the day. "Hard boiled eggs are high protein snacks and you can add them to any lunch plate," says fitness trainer Ashley Weinbach.
